This company has HORRIBLE customer service skills. I work for a storage company and I would NEVER treat my customers the way they treated me. So you might ask “Why don’t you use your own storage company?” Because they are the only storage company in Talladega but they are very rude.
my mother's house in pcb Florida is still damaged from Hurricane Michael. Barber Prop was supposed to send someone to her rental house today. No call No show. Not reliable at all.

We had our stuff stolen ! Manager wouldn’t talk with us ! The guy who they had to cut the lock for us looks like the guy who was arrested in st Clair for breaking in other storages! They lied about cameras & footage of guy who was supposedly in custody for stealing !
horrible place.. i got a storage buildiing back in december and just found out my unit has been broken into! they have cameras and a gate. i went and made a police report and now i have to wait till they go review the tapes. no apologies from the company. they didnt even come out of there offices. the poor lady at the front desk had to deal with my wrath all by herself.
Alright so I’m renting a storage unit from Barber Properties and it was a $83 storage unit. On the paperwork it stated that they would charge me a additional $25 if my storage unit wasn’t cleaned and swept out when I was done. When I opened my storage unit, it was covered in glass and trash and rat poop. I obviously took pictures and went to buy rat poison and bug killer. I called this morning and they refused to reimburse me for the money that I spent to clean the storage unit or the $25 for the cleaning. DON’T EVER USE BAR... read more
