You're better off getting repairs from an independent shop that knows what they are doing and costs significantly less. The dealership couldn't identify the source of the issue after an expensive diagnosis and suggested replacing an expensive part, it did not resolve the issue and they still wanted to charge more for further diagnosis with 0 guarantee they could even do it.

I have always scheduled my vehicle’s routine maintenance with Barber Honda in Bakersfield and have appreciated the convenience of being able to make an appointment in advance. Unfortunately, when I recently called to schedule my next maintenance service, I was informed that appointments are no longer available and that service is now handled on a drop-off, first-come, first-served basis. I continue to go to Barber Honda to service the vehicle that I bought there in 2017. Do I have another choice? I can go to a random mechanic but they won't specialize in Honda vehicles. I hope my 2015 Honda Civic does not die an early death. I have had several expensive issues with it in recent years. I should have bought a Toyota but oh well, Honda is second best still.

Avoid Barber Honda at all costs. I brought my 2020 Pilot in for a camera repair and was quoted $1,700. I declined the work, but when I opened the camera later, I found blue paint-pen writing on the unit—a clear sign of a used or junkyard part. It appears a technician swapped my original camera for a used one. This is dishonest and completely unacceptable. Their low ratings are well-deserved. Protect your vehicle and take it elsewhere. BTW, this part is serialized and easy to trace!

This in regards to a Honda vehicle, which I recently purchased. After looking at various places for a vehicle, I returned to this Honda, because I was able to look around peacefully. In fact, on the day I purchased the vehicle, in February, a kind and knowledgeable salesman asked if I needed any help. I thanked him and said I just need time alone.
