This pizzeria and restaurant combines chic decor with old world charm and creative takes on Italian dishes. Pizzas, made in a wood-fired brick oven, feature thin crusts that hold an extensive list of possibilities. Red or pink tomato sauces, mozzarella, goat cheese, brie, sun dried tomatoes, and arugula, paired with prosciutto, chicken, sausage, or mushrooms make it hard to choose from over 20 artful combinations. Baraonda's ravioli of the day and pastas in delicate cream or red sauces will delight anyone who wants a full me... read more

The Real Baraonda – I don't understand why this place got such good reviews. I live righr next door ans I won't eat there if I'm starving. I've been there 3 times. Not once, but three times and the food was really crappy. Its supposed to be real Italiam cusine from real Italians, but the food sucks big time. I've had the lasagne, a pizza and a seafood dish. All of it was horrific. The only good part about the whole restuarant was my very adorable waiter. If you want good Italian food go to Olive Garden, don't go here.
A romantic dinner – Tonight was my first experience at Baraonda, but I will be back. My date chose it as we walked along Peachtree- totally unplanned- but we were both very pleased! The food is great for the money, the ambience is so nice and relaxed, and the wait-staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Our waiter seemed sensitive about when to be attentive and when to leave us alone! Awesome experience!
Sempre buono! – I've dined at this fine restaurant/bar more times than I can count and have never had a bad experience. The martinis are some of the best in town, and it's always nice when a waiter (in this case, Luca) remembers what kind after being served by him only once. Kudos also to my other favorite server, Jon. The food and service are always excellent, even when they're slammed after an exodus from The Fox. The prices are very reasonable, and I always enjoy the music being played. Baraonda is a Midtown masterpiece!
great food, bad bar – this is definitely a place to try...great food, good music and great service....well, all except the bar...bartender seemed to be spaztic and short fused..he also took forever to make our drinks and get our change....table service and food was excellent....
Excellent – Such a good deal for really good pizza...3 friends and I ate for $50 (including appetizers) and loved it...even the pasta was way better than expected - park at the georgian terrace and get validated inside
Nice but Undistinguished – I don't want to say the place is "average" because it has a lot of things going for it. The vibe is decent, although the generic trip-hop world beat music is not. The bar is small but friendly, and drinks are way overpriced. The service is okay but our server didn't seem to thrilled to be there. Pizza? Go for the funkier toppings. My margharita pizza was pretty boring. All in all it was thoroughly okay and reasonably priced (except for the call drinks...$9 for a Ketel One with a splash of OJ!?!?!) ... read more
Always looking for authentic Italian... – ...and this is some of the closest I've found. The burro and salvia (sage and butter) white pizza delicious from the wood-fired oven, and the carpaccio was such a treat -- rare to find it done well here. Great wine list. This is always one of my first suggestions when we'redeciding what to eat out!
Not worth the hype – I had a really terrible experience here about a year ago and decided to give it another shot. Bad idea. The pizza isn't thin and crispy like the critics rave about, its just so-so. Pasta was watery and when I asked about it I was told that "that's how people like it in Italy". Great way to treat a customer. And to top it off, I left a 15% tip anyhow (I usually leave around 20%), and the waiter confronted me on the sidewalk to complain about "the lousy tip"
Like being in Italy! – This is our all time favorite restaurant in Atlanta! The food is always consistent and the service is always good. They make you feel like you're at home.I could eat their pizza every day! This is as close as it gets to the pizza from the south of Italy, yumm!Great location too. We've been there in large groups and alone and is always the same great experience.I love this place!
