authentic italian pizza – The pizza at Baraonda tastes like the first one I ever had. It was prepared by an Italian family who barely spoke English, and it was here in Atlanta that I had it, around 1962. The next time I had pizza that good was in Italy, in Siena, 3 years ago. I've had lots of pizza in between, but the qualiy of the cheese and the simplicity make the pizza from Baraonda a stand out.

great spot – this is one of the best italian restaurants I've been to. The prices are very reasonable and the food is wonderful...also has an authentic feel to it. Service is great, location is great, parking though is the only drawback. Maybe I didn't find the right parking space....I don't know. Overall, it's a great place. The pizza is wonderful too!

Stylish Midtowners snack on Euro-style pizzas at this romantic trattoria. – The Scene Shadowy hearth light, heavily lacquered plank tables, Italian liqueur posters and plenty of Gypsy Kings tunes make this cozy Midtown trattoria an instant romantic hit. A long bar runs down the side of the dining room, and tables are comfortably arranged along the length of the room. French doors open onto a small patio that is set up along Third Street. The Food Simple flavors and restrained culinary associations rule the day at this modest... read more

best Italian near the Fox – I ordered the Carpiciossa (sp?) pizza and my friend ordered the antipasto plate. The pizza was well worth the $10 and all of the prices are very reasonable. My neopolitan style pizza was very good and I would say authentically Italian. The anitpasto plate was very good and a fair deal for $9. One pizza, the antipasto plate, foccacia bread, and two beers came to about a mere $29. I'd say everything was mid priced and even the pasta dishes were very reasonable. The inside is dark and kind of loud bu... read more

Great pizza – Stick with the pizza here! They have a lot of different varieties - I loved the spinach and ricotta that I ordered. The wine was also great and the servers were friendly!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE – We made a reservation and were made to wait ONE HOUR AND 15 MINUTES, the hostess never even greeted me when I came in, she never spoke to us to explain why we were waiting, unless we went to ask her, no one would try to help us, the manager was an idiot, he never even bought us a drink or sent us bread or anything, there were a few empty tables but they refused to push them together or move them around at all. We will NEVER go back there and hope they learn how to treat customers. The only plus is that ... read more

worst service EVER!!!!! – We had a party of 8 for a 9:00 pm reservation on Jan. 22, 2005. We arrived at 9:00 for our table. We were told that we could not sit down until our entire party was present. Our party was ready at 9:05 pm. Wewere told it would just be a minute or so. We finally left the god forsaken restaurant at 10:30 with empty stomachs. The hostess was anything but helpful. The manager was the most incompitent human being I've ever come in contact with. They could have accomodated us but they chose not to. Not on... read more

Awsome!!! – My best-friend and I wanted to go to a nice little place to have a quiet dinner just to catch-up... well a friend told us about Baraonda- and she was right, it was AWSOME. Erin was our server, she was great, she was there when we needed her..... but left us to talk and we never felt rushed to leave. The was FAST, not only our food but everyone around us! I will go there again without a doubt.

Don't believe the negative reviews! – How anyone can say that they've had numerous bad experiences at Baraonda is beyond me. After dining here at least 10 times, I've found the food, service, and atmosphere to be excellent. And the martinis aren't bad either. Best of all, it's open late and very reasonably priced. I give it a 9 out of 10.
