I’ve been a Barkeeper fan since before the pandemic (~2019). During the pandemic, my ex got into making elaborate tiki drinks and obviously we had to drop hundreds of dollars there building out our in home tiki bar. What’s so impressive to me is how the shop has maintained what is special about it (the broad and deep selection, the helpful and passionate staff) while also continuing to innovate and add new offerings. The staff was very unwelcoming and condescending.
The staff here are so knowledgeable. It’s my go-to place for any sprit-related gift/purchase. I recently heard they were under new ownership. I hope nothing changes. I’d hate for the quality of the experience here to suffer. This is not a total wine and more, this is real expertise that you can’t get anywhere else in LA.
