My dad was transported here after having a stroke. Upon arriving we where told he was going to have emergency surgery that its Time sensitive 4 hours later we where still in the emergency and then told he was being sent to icu and from there the doctor would let us know what had to be done. It’s almost 7am the next morning and we have yet to see a doctor. Says there # 1 for treating stroke patients but yet my dad is still laying in icu a day later and still hasn’t seen a doctor. Please make this make sense.
Stayed with my wife and brother in law after he broke his leg, absolute worst service I've seen when it comes to treating their patients. He was in pain for hours and they wouldn't give him anything for it. Most of the staff were rude and ignored our requests to help him, and would repeatedly bump into his fresh-out-of-surgery leg and just say "oops" when he'd wail in pain. The lack of compassion was appalling to say the least. Stay as far away from this hospital as possible, they won't care about you at all.
They would rather let patients die than run the follow the CDC guidelines and run the necessary tests to save a life.
This is not about the entire hospital. I cannot say, because I have not been there recently. however, I have a procedure schedule for Prattville Baptist and was called by sweet woman named Beva in the scheduling department. Her personality was almost like family☺️Even though I had only talked to her on the phone this one time, I was amazed that this sweet woman was so considerate, kind, and went out of her way to help me. Came in for pneumonia and couldn’t breathe felt like I was dying and it took 5 hours to be seen. This hospital is ridiculous
