Every person that helped me was extremely kind and patient. Nobody wants to go to an emergency room, but the doctors and nurses made this as good as an experience as it could have been

I had a wonderful experience at this ER tonight. I was taken straight back to a room immediately without having to sit in the waiting room at all. As someone who is immunocompromised, I was incredibly grateful for how compassionate and aware the staff was of my specific health needs. The Physician Assistant, Whitney Breeding, was exceptionally thorough and ensured all bases were covered before performing my procedure. Outstanding group of people. Everyone I came into contact with was kind and friendly. I loved my nurses and I was blessed to have Dr. Bruce for my illness both days. He knew exactly what was going on as soon as I started speaking. No stone was left unturned and his bedside manner was pleasant. So very easy to communicate with. Went here because my partner was worried he had dislocated his jaw, he has tmj issues and was sure it wasn't his normal pain. We were able to get back very quick, the nurses were very nice and understanding but still waited for an hour in the room, honestly pretty normal for a late night visit from my experience. The real issue we has was with the doctor, he came in "examined" my partner for less than 50 seconds where he just looked at his teeth, and basically told us that people his age dont get tmj problems and he cant do ... read more

I will contact the patient rights advocate regarding the details of our experience as I understand this platform is not the appropriate place. However, I do feel compelled to share our experience so others can make an informed decision. During a recent flare episode of an already clearly diagnosed condition, I took my son to the ER at Baptist as it was well after office hours and I was seeking some relief for him.
