they use piercing guns, to my surprise as I didn't know until it was up to my ear and had already paid. my cartilage is shattered and extremely swollen due to the trauma of the piercing gun used. do not recommended for any piercings higher than lobe! mind you I have 13 piercings and have never experienced pain like this.
