Recommendedfriendly nurses, great care.
My husband Terry Calhoun Has environmental COPD. We have been coming here for six years. It is the best hospital in the state. It takes your nurses. You're respiratory technicians everyone down to the nutrition. To keep our familys with us. They are wonderful To let me stay with my husband overnight Remember your nurses are 90% of your care ! An amazing hospital. My 17 month old son was transferred from Banner Estrella to Banner Thunderbird for pneumonia. the staff was very helpful and very kind.

My brother is sitting with my parents in a tiny side area with two vials of his drawn blood thrown on the floor. When the nurses were asked about it, one said she can't pick it up because she doesn't HAVE GLOVES. There is garbage on the floor as well and they are out of critical supplies if the nurses are leaving vials on the floor. I am appalled and frankly concerned, it is too late to have him moved as he awaits a scan.
My mom was in there for chest pains. The doctor wanted her to have a stress test, but forgot to order it...so the didn't feed her all day (in preparation for the test that never was ordered). My mom is a diabetic. While not being fed, they didn't monitor her blood sugar either...until I screamed at her nurse. They scheduled her test the next day...so I'm sure they'll try to charge her an extra night stay due to a doctor not doing his job. Complete imcompitence/neglect.
When you go to the release of information and the tech is messing around on their phone and has the camera open on their phone all while they have cerner open. Just makes you think twice about the people that work there and who to trust.
