new Atmoshere – Recently I was up in Banner Elk with my family and ate at cafe several times. The atmoshere someway seemed more relaxed and controlled by the staff on duty. The food was wonderful each time and prompt coming out of the kitchen. We were asking about some of the new faces since we were up in the fall. Horrible – I truly found the employees to be among the most rood I've ever know. So much in fact, I signed up on city search just so I could warn others. I brought a large group to eat in the restaurant and I felt as though I annoyed them for bringing twenty paying customers - truly bizarre. As for quality, the food was good, until a member of our group found several (3-4) hairs in their fries. The manager, Robin Boone, was dismissive and unapologetic.
Not a good place to go nor work – Worked there for over a year. Has very bad management problems. Would not recommend any one to work there nor eat there. Service stinks and the last time I was in there, no one seemed to care to acknowledge me. ZUZDA is the place to be in Banner Elk. It is great Tapas food and you will definatly have the greatest experience.
Not a good experience – Stopped for breakfast. Told that hash browns were n/a, and no substitute. Okay, so it's grits! She offered extra toast if grits weren't acceptable. The breakfast was typical. They stop serving breakfast at 10:30am, if you're late, plan on lunch! Tried dinner - place was a mess. Dirty tables (seat yourself), and no one moving to bus them.
