BEWARE OF BANK OZK! TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE! I had $8000 stolen from my hacked checking/debit card account! OZK said "NO" to replacing my lost money due to a little known "REGULATION E" which they used to hide behind! They are not members of the BBB and apparently there is a reason for that...PLEASE DO NOT USE BANK OZK! On May 11, 2022, I called OZK customer service because I could not log into my online account. After waiting 20 minutes, I spoke to "ERIC". It took him almost 30 minutes to resolve my problem. I had to answer security questions before account access was restored. ERIC spoke quickly and he was garbled. I asked him to repeat more slowly and clearly. He did but seemed unhappy. The Call Center was experiencing longer wait times for incoming calls on May 11, 2022. The Bank reviewed the call recording. The call duration was approximately 17 minutes - 9 of which was spent on verifying the customer, 4 minutes to update the client's telephone number, and 3 minutes for resolving the issue with the online account. The Bank has provided additional customer service related training for the call center agent.
Bank OZK is getting famous for stealing people's money. They close accounts and their managers are not competent enough to justify withdrawing money, without notification to us, or without following due process. I own a small business and they closed all my accounts, took the money and will not communicate. Their manager is always out, the branches I have visited are always empty, they don't respond to emails and they will not work with or support their clients. I just received a transaction rejection letter from Bank OZK. I am writing this to only let others know to not deal with this bank for any types of credit transactions. It appears this business is not accredited by the BBB and for good reason. My credit score is excellent and I have no recent negative marks or collections. The reasons given for my rejection were weak at best. I do not recommend the Bank OZK branch in Sherwood. I went in, as a customer, to have paperwork notarized which is a service they allegedly offer to current customers to be told they can't do it by the Branch Manager with no real explanation. I've since called three different OZK locations and all three different managers have agreed to notarize the exact form for me. Your Sherwood manager is very rude and I will instead take my business to a branch that knows how to treat customers with respect!
I've been doing business with this Bank OZK for years. They closed my account 3 days BEFORE I got a notice that they were doing so and gave me no reason. The post mark from the letter is dated April 26th. They closed the account on the 23rd and the letter was written on the 23rd. Giving me no sufficient time for my disability check to be switched to a new bank. PLUS All my household bills get auto-pay. All on the 3rd.
