The Bank has identity verification checks in place to help prevent account takeovers or fraudulently opened accounts and is exploring options to improve the customer experience. A Bank representative called the client and assisted in opening the account via telephone and DocuSign.

Worst experience ever. I deposited a check yesterday via the ATM that was made out to my husband and I. I deposited it into an account that is in my name only. The ATM took the check and credited it into my account but then took it back out later. I called the bank who said my husband has to go with me and sign the check in front of a teller. Also, they cannot get the check out of the ATM until Saturday or Monday because that is when someone comes to service it. I was all about using a small hometown bank but not anymore.

The third-party check deposited at the Automated Teller Machine was reversed the following day as it was not made payable to a signer on the account. A letter explaining the issue was mailed to the client with an indemnified copy of the check. Bank personnel discussed the situation with the client along with how to negotiate the check.
After almost 13 years I'm finally done with the nonsense. Bank OZK's formula for customer service? Customer Service = high customer aggravation and annoyance. Bank of the Ozarks (OZK) has always been just so, so. Now I'm so aggravated with THEIR mistake that I now have to jump through hoops to fix. I'm moving my account to a bank that actually provides trouble free service.

The complainant visited a branch to add a non-profit as a beneficiary to a personal checking account. An employee executed this request despite not being within Bank policy. The Bank made numerous calls, from different extensions due to poor reception, to notify the complainant of the error. The complainant was not satisfied with the Bank’s decision to reverse the account revision, and branch staff attempted numerous calls over the next few days to provide alternative solutions.
After reading these reviews, I feel even worse. I am 62 years old and have always had a boat. I bought a new Tri-toon 7 years ago. I financed the boat and was wondering why all of my payments were going to interest Only? I started with $57000 and now my last payment went all to interest and no principal. After 7 years I still owe $46294.70? Only $10706 went to the boat and I paid $32000 in interest. So what they do is make it so you cant trade it in, or sell it. The borrower has a simple interest loan, and a review of the payment history reveals that the payments were applied in accordance with the loan documents. Interest accrues daily and payments are applied first to interest with the remainder going towards reducing principal. Variances in the amount of principal reduction depend on the principal balance and the number of days between payments being made.
On 1/7/25 I tried to deposit a check at the Lonsdale branch. After waiting in my car for some time I asked what the delay was. I was then told it would take a few more minutes. I went into the bank for an explanation and was told that neither of the only two people, in the bank, had the authority to deposit my check because it was over their limit. The client visited the Banking Center to transact a large deposit which required a supervisor override. The supervisor was not currently in the office and there is no evidence that the staff requested supervisory support from another banking center prior to the client leaving with the deposit. The lack of exceptional service has been addressed with the Banking Center staff.
I am also having lots of problems with OZK Business since they upgraded their platform a couple of week ago. All of a sudden the connection with WISE that used to work seamlessly, cannot be reestablished. Of course, OZK says that is WISE's fault even if they know that the most likely scenario is that their platform upgrade is at fault. The most annoying is that nobody seems to care about my problem and the fact that my business cannot operate. Bozk has good rates but horrible customer service.The original branch closest to me had a completely incompetent bank manager who new nothing of IRA's She had an appointment with me and informed me she had to clean her office first.She had to have my other bank walk her through it our previous visit .I've changed branches,we'll see

The Bank was able to assist the customer with her Individual Retirement Account (“IRA”). When she arrived at the branch for assistance, an employee asked her to wait as the office was being cleaned and disinfected due previously meeting with an ill customer. When assisting the customer, the branch employee contacted the Bank’s internal IRA department and never involved another financial institution.
You can call this bank and be put on hold for an hour, before giving up. They must have one phone to handle all their offices. I'm 74 and have dealt with numerous banks but have never seen such lousy service. Mistakingy used this bank to finance a trailer for a short period as the rv company uses them,. If I can ever get them to answer am planning to get a payoff. Terrible bank! I'd give a negative 5 star if it existed.
