RecommendedWe bought a home in an area we were wholly unfamiliar with. Heather Nipper (out of the Blacksburg location) was highly recommended by our realtor when we asked about a lender. Mortgage process was a breeze with the help of Heather Nipper and her team. She was on top of everything and keeping me updated at all times about our loan, closing, etc. Answered all our questions and concerns in timely manner. Helped us navigate through VA loan and all the requirements, documentation, etc. She really worked hard to get it done. I cannot recommend them enough!

very friendly service, love the free checking and the fact that I've been a customer for 15 years or so and not once have I paid an over draft fee,I think it's wrong when a bank does that. I would highly recommend Bank of the James for all your banking needs!
