My cat had a spay appointment on 9/15/2020. On 9/22/2020, I noticed a large bump under her incision. I called Banfield - Gainesville, VA a number of times, but I kept getting a dial-tone and it didn't allow me to leave a message. Finally, when I was able to speak with Grace, an employee, she told me they couldn't see her before Sunday 9/28/2020 and that I could take her to an emergency clinic or another Banfield. I told her that since they had performed the surgery, I felt that they should be the ones to perform the check up... read more

We showed up for a 4:30 appointment at 4:35. Because of two people in front of us waiting, they didn't talk to us or even acknowledge we were there. Finally at 4:55 they finally spoke with us and refused us service because we were 25 minutes late to check-in, even though 20 minutes of that was their own fault. They then said they closed at 5 and didn't have time to see him anymore. So the real reason we were refused service was because they were running behind, and they wanted us to reschedule for the next day.

Front desk experience has been an ongoing problem both by phone and in person. My final straw today was when I called about getting the rest of the medication for my dog (they were only able to fill a portion of the prescription initially). It took 15 minutes on the phone for them to figure it out and I was told it would be ready for me. I came in 4 hours later and it still wasn’t done. Ended up waiting more than 20 mints for what should have been a two minute need. Again not the first time the desk has had issues. Problems ... read more

Worst customer service experience, they don’t have respect for people’s time We set up a drop off at 12:30 at 1:45 after asking several times told us maybe around 3 the doctor who us on break will have time to see my dog Ask to talk to the manager who couldn’t understand why I was upset 😡 after waiting in the store for more than an hour when we had a time to drop the dog NOT wait because of COVID19

Up sell and taking advantage of an emergency situation. Should not have to argue a bill and be told that we MISHEARD when it was clear we did not. Not going to use this place again, was not happy with the doctors treatment at checkout. Very cold and standoffish when I questioned the up sales... we will be finding a new vet for sure.

Have been using Banfield for several years. We have a pet plan with them and are very happy with it. We also appreciate the care that our dog receives from everyone from the individual who checks us in, the Vet Tech, and the Vet. They answer our questions no matter how ridiculous they may seem! Would highly recommend them and often do.
