They did so much to try and help my poor kitty in 10 minuets than my regular vet did in a whole year. More research and talk through to really get down to the real cause than just pay pay pay.
WARNING: Only the person on the contract can take in your pet to Newport News Banfield Pet Hospital. The people that pay for the pet or spouse do not have a right to take in the pet. I payed for the payments and my husband had a stroke. I was refused service and had to take my pet to another Vet. to get heart worm prevention I talked to the local unit and corporate. They said nothing could be done without a power of attorney. It took a month before he could attempt to write his name and it did not look like scribble.
First time pet owners and the entire staff was great. My sweet cat was so terrified and they took such amazing care of her. My kids were so worried about her and one of the women there took pictures for my kids to show them she was doing great. it was so sweet and put the whole family at ease. The doctor was fantastic and very thorough in explaining to me what I needed and wanted to know. The whole staff was patient, kind, and helpful through the whole experience!
My mom’s dog has been going there in a wellness plan since 2003. He has had excellent care. I care for him now that my mom is gone & bring him back there since they know him so well. They take great care of his eyes, ears & arthritis!!
Reception staff are inadequately trained. They need manners and customer service skills. In addition they let me leave with my pup after major surgery without his meds! I live in Chesapeake! Idiots! I had to call them and then turn around in rush hour traffic last night to go back and get his meds. Totally unacceptable and preventable. Dr. Kelcourse is top notch though! Give him 5 stars. Staff need to be more pleasant and friendly. The animals are already scared and need a comforting and caring approach.
