If you believe you should be notified before the vet performs additional procedures.. then STAY AWAY After today, I do not recommend taking your furry loved one here! Dropped my dog off at 8 for preventative teeth cleaning and ended up with a $250 bill for unauthorized procedures... and teeth cleaning was not performed.. Worst part is, we called them 7 hours later to be told pre-labs kept them from performing any vaccinations or teeth cleaning...... I will also be calling the corporate office
We are deciding to leave Banfield. We used Banfield in Lexington and it was a much better experience than Louisville’s Banfield on Westport Rd. On multiple occasions, our concerns regarding our dog were dismissed or overlooked. The most recent time (yesterday), my dog received some vaccines and had a bad reaction. Love love love this vet. I drop my babies off and pick them up when ready. They keep me updated and all are very compassionate. I know my babies are in good hands. Dr Stumpf has been wonderful. 💕
Dr. Amanda was awesome today. I am from out of state on vacation and my little one needed medical attention. The staff fit us into their already busy schedule and made us feel right at home. My little one is already perking back up and we have a follow up later this week. I'm the crazy cat mom, it's nice to feel safe and reassured when you have these unforeseen moments pop up. The team did that for me today. thank you! (also a wellness plan member, highly recommend the plans!)
Killed my dog by sending her home even though she required oxygen for her pneumonia, still continues to charge me for the insurance even though they killed her. When asked why they didn't give her oxygen the vet simply replied: "We dont have oxygen". The dog was there for 8 hours basically suffocating when all they had to do was call us and tell us to take her to a facility that had oxygen tanks. If you value your pet's life at all, you will not use Banfield.
