Irresponsible management, does not understand anything about animal welfare.
Shameful, incompetent business practices. Releasing a cat into the street is despicable. I hope the rescue sues this facility. Shocking and deeply negligent!
It truly boggles my mind that the Banfield technician (or manager?) put her emotions before common sense and made a "righteous" decision to hinder the rescue of "Mama" cat (which was a already a challenge); and releasing her from the (rescue) cage....Although the tech (or manager) and her employer are in the field of "caring" for animals, I heard they couldn't take Mama because they'd be responsible for her(??). Please be aware that a staff member here does not act humanely towards animals in the community. Do you really want to trust them with yours?
I can't believe the lack of unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for an animals well being specifically what occurred this morning with the mother cat so wrongfully released even though they had the cage and full contact information. Never trusting these people with my fur family or rescue for that matter!
Why would your staff interfere with a TNR project? Guess you all don’t think there are enough kittens and cats on death row in shelters and you would like to produce more? Maybe you don’t have enough clients and we’re trying to produce more?
I was horrified to learn that the Clinic MANAGER let loose a cat that was trapped AND had a “owner” who was overseeing her care before taking her to reunite with her kittens. It has taken time to trap this scared Mom. The MANAGER states “she tried to call and there was no answer”. How about you let us see your phone log because you did not call as all cell phones have call logs.
