Moved to Florida 5 years ago from Algonquin We visited Banditos quite often and loved the place. Went there Wed. for dinner. Place was crowded so we went to the farthest outside area. Sat there for quite a while and no one came to take our order. Friends we were with went to see if there was room at their new huge bar. While I was sitting there one of the 5 waitresses got up and started giggling that there was no service in the back. Then put up a surfboard sign that said no service. Used to really like this place when I first moved here, service was okay and semi quick, prices weren't outrageous, but now it's so hard to get anyone to come serve us, and with the new prices. $10.50 for a jack and coke that tastes the same as the one I got a week or so ago for $8. I always tip so this drink is now costing me $12-$13 for one.. I can drink quite a few drinks with the same amount of alcohol for that price at home with friends and a fire. This place was awesome in the summer, but now since the remodel, the entire outside is now smoking...very disappointed!!!
People forget this is the best bar in Dundee! Great service all day every day everyone is so friendly. You know I'm gonna SEND IT! Ditos as the locals call it, is a great place to catch a live band and enjoy a few beverages and relax. See you soon!
Love this place, good food and cool atmosphere. Newly remodled, love the beer garden area to sit outside and eat. Good bands on the weekends, biker friendly.
Prices are good, but the place lost it's charm. Just another bar in my opinion. We always went on Sunday afternoons to see the bands. I don't see that happening any longer. This will now be a place that I go only if there is a specific reason. Still trying to figure out how they call it a beach club. There is nothing beachy about it. More of a northwest woods decor.
The attitude and service we received from the bartenders was absolutely deplorable. Instead of tending to it's patrons, these little girls were playing a game. When we tried to get their attention to close out our tab, one of them rolled her eyes and said "you have to go find your server". Excuse me, but it's not my job to do anything. Hire some adults who take their job and your patrons seriously. Maybe once you do, we'll come back. Until then good luck.
