Always a good choice for one-stop shopping, this Berkeley institution is a huge boutique for men, women and teens located right across the street from University of California at Berkeley and around the corner from the famous Telegraph Avenue. The store is divided into four basic sections: men's, women's, shoes and Cal Bears memorabilia. You will find a wide selection of affordable clothing and accessories by top designers in a variety of styles.

Wow..that's a lot of clothes. This is really a warehouse huge. Like as big as Costco. They have tons of tons of clothing. The college clothes selection is huge too. Unfortantely, it's all high priced, but there is really nowhere that you wont find high priced clothing for a college. The staff is really indifferent, but you do not really want someone to be breathing down your neck when you're shopping. Their prices for regular clothes like shoes from Converse are reasonable.
Great Place For Cal Gear This is a great story with tons of stuff especially if you are going to stop by to get some Cal gear. Their selection is large and the prices are a bit lower than that of the student store so be sure to check this place out before going elsewhere.
mostly for students and visitors to Berkeley The Bancroft Clothing Company has a little bit of everything: mostly clothes, some shoes, school supplies, stuffed animals, and a lot of Cal clothes and souvenirs. I would guess mostly Berkeley students who don't have cars go here for its convenience--it's right across from campus. If you're in a pinch and need something (besides Cal stuff), go here for the convenience. If you have some time, take the drive to the city for more selection.
Lots of Berkeley apparel, but lacking sizes! Bancroft Clothing Company has the largest (and best, in my opinion) selection of UC-Berkeley apparel, but they almost never have the sizes I'm looking for (nothing unusual--mediums or smalls)! Occasionally I've asked them to notify me when a particular size comes in, and they say they will, but then they don't. However, they still have the best selection in Berkeley.
An ok place I'll start off by saying what really annoys me about the store. You have to check your backpack at the door. I know other stores in the area do it to, but it's really annoying that they make you take your backpack off before they let you enter. Besides that, they're a good store. Decent Selection and Prices This store has a great selection of items for Berkeley students that are usually priced very well! Other items are okay if you know your prices, but I find the Berkeley prodcuts are my favorites and they usually have a good selection of them. A decent location too, so it's easy to go by in case you need something.
cute clothes, but pricey This store often has very cute clothes. Convenient for us Cal students as it's right across the street from campus, they also offer a wide array of Cal gear. From sweatshirts to keychains to window stickers, you can find everything at the student store and more for cheaper prices. the cal clothing store i bought my first cal sweater here and not until later on when i checked other stores that i realized i paid a little too much for it. not officially the store for cal clothing and accessories but they do have a large variety. things aren't cheap here however. sweaters range from $35-60
One-stop shopping for Cal students Bancroft Clothing Co was a frequent shopping destination for me while a student at Cal. They're like a miniature department store, located right across the street from the campus.
