Wow..that's a lot of clothes. This is really a warehouse huge. Like as big as Costco. They have tons of tons of clothing. The college clothes selection is huge too. Unfortantely, it's all high priced, but there is really nowhere that you wont find high priced clothing for a college. The staff is really indifferent, but you do not really want someone to be breathing down your neck when you're shopping. Their prices for regular clothes like shoes from Converse are reasonable. Department Store Shopping Near Telegraph Directly off Telegraph Avenue is Bancroft Clothing Company. It's in essence a department store full of remainders and discount clothing geared toward the college-age connoisseur. Lots of cargo pants, jeans, backpacks, hats, sneakers, sweatshirt, etc. Fair prices and decent staff help. Park in the Durant lot or plan to street park far away.
the cal clothing store i bought my first cal sweater here and not until later on when i checked other stores that i realized i paid a little too much for it. not officially the store for cal clothing and accessories but they do have a large variety. things aren't cheap here however. sweaters range from $35-60
Bancroft Clothing Bancroft Clothing is cool because they have school related clothing as well as trendy, popular clothing and accessories that you would find in department stores like Macy's. The prices are pretty cheap and they have a big shoe selection too.
One-stop shopping for Cal students Bancroft Clothing Co was a frequent shopping destination for me while a student at Cal. They're like a miniature department store, located right across the street from the campus. They carry trendy clothes for men and women, a good selection of shoes upstairs, a Clinique counter, accessories (including purses/backpacks, jewelry, etc), lingerie, workout clothes, and Cal gear. Bad service! Do not buy at this place!! Last week I visited this place to buy a pair of Van Shoes which where prices at $56 dollars. After I tried them on and went to the check-out they appeared to be $61. So I told the lady that there was a price tag on the shoes of $56 and she now tried to sell the shoes at a higher price. Then I heard one of the most ridiculous stories "we do not charge you the price Van Shoes is advising us but we are pricing them up". After this incident I even sent an email to the company about this si... read more
Berkeley's Department store This is the closest you can come to a department store in Berkeley. There is a very large selection of clothing and plenty of official Berkeley sweatshirts. The store also has a large stock of shoes and a relatively friendly staff that consists predominantly of Berkeley college students. Being located less than half a block from campus, who could resist?

small department store with good clothing This store appeals to many UC Berkeley students because it is the closest department clothing store. It is decent price, some things are cheap, others expensive (like their shoes). I like browsing around the store because they have all sorts of clothing (like any department store should be). I would recommend to all people of all ages (men and women).
