I had my PTSD C&P exam with her, and I was having a really bad day going into the appointment. She was kind, patient, and professional, and she made a very difficult conversation feel a little easier. I felt like she genuinely listened and gave me the space to explain what I’ve been dealing with without making me feel rushed or judged. She even managed to get me to smile during the exam, which I honestly didn’t expect that day. I really appreciated the compassion and respect she showed me throughout the entire appointment.
Psychologists who demonstrate bias or unprofessional conduct should not be assigned to perform C&P examinations for veterans. The VA should review her conduct and consider barring her from conducting future C&P exams. In my case, she did not review my medical records or follow proper procedures.
