I had a horrible experience with Dr. Balson. I went to see him concerned about allergies. During our appointment he was dismissive, rude and hostile. His 'bedside manner' was terrible! At one point I mentioned the hunch I had in regards to my allergic reaction and he said " who is the doctor, you or me? If you've already diagnosed yourself, tell me what you're doing here" RUDE!!! TERRIBLE! Go elsewhere. Important to read this review because it's the truth and proves this guy is a fraud. After experiencing hives for the second time after eating shellfish, I went to Dr. Balson for food allergy testing. I was surprised to see the dated medical devices and equipment in his office given he's located in a well-established and highly reputable area along Beacon Street Brookline. My daughter received immunotherapy from doctor Balson. For many years he was a responsible , reliable source of all our needs with her severe asthma. He is gentle, good with kids, not a single time she objected going there.
