Ballston Animal Hospital is terrific! I've had to call them for routine appointmnts and emergency appointments for my cats, and they have always tried to fit me in. I've never been told that they do not have space when there is an emergency situation. An office visit costs $68, which may seem a little pricey, but I appreciate their care and expertise. They have taken excellent care of my cat before, during, and after a surgery.
Gotten Better When I first went here I liked this vet, although they were a bit on the pricey side.. however about 3 or 4 years ago it seemed to go down hill. It seemed like there were suddenly massive changes in both the staff and vets and it seemed like a quite unhappy place (the people seemed quite stressed out). However it seems that it has gone back to being more like what is was before. I am quite glad for that. PROS: lots of parking, see above CONS: a bit pricey
Ballston is the best! I've been going to Ballston Animal Hospital for 4 years and just brought in my new puppy and the stafff was wonderful. My pup really liked Dr. Collins who was extremely patient with all of the questions I had (and I had a lot of them!) even though the clinic was very busy. I will always recommend Ballston Animal Hospital to my friends.

Dr. Gretchen Tripp is an exceptional doctor and treats her patients and their families with the utmost compassion and dignity. After my fifteen year old dog lost her battle with renal failure and cancer, Dr. Tripp came to our home to euthanize her. I am so grateful that she offered to do this, so my dear, sweet dog didn't have to suffer or be afraid. Ballston Animal Hospital I took my cat here recently after the cat contracted an illness. I was able to get an appointment that day which really surprised me. The doctor and their staff were great. They prescribed some medication that restored my pets health. The bill was very pricey and that might prevent me from going here again but the service overall was spectacular.
Very happy Ballston Animal Hospital has been taking care of my dog Cody for around 2 years now and I have been very happy with the staff, especially Dr. Collins. We've only had one emergency, but it was pretty scary and the schedule was booked solid. Dr. Collins suggested we leave Cody for a few hours and they managed to squeak him in between appointments within an hour. My dog gives them a 5! We've been going to Ballston Animal Hospital for the past 3 years and my dog absolutely loves everybody there - I've never seen anything like it! We get the undivided attention of the staff, high quality care, and would not think of going anywhere else.
Good care I've had excellent success with Ballston Animal Hospital for all the regular vet needs for my dogs. The vets and staff are professional and thorough. They've even gone above and beyond to diagnose rare conditions for both dogs. Understand, however, that they are not set up to handle emergencies. If you have an emergency, ask them for an immediate referral to the Hope Center (Vienna) or South Paws. chinaca We love Dr. Gretchen Tripp. I found the staff there professional and helpful. Our sweet cat, Annie had to go in for a dental. Dr. Tripp was gentle with her and called us back right after the work was done. She also called us to follow up on Annie. The technicians were very caring and thorough. We will definitely stick with BAH.
