I have used this company for almost 11 years, but the majority of that time was when my local company was Heritage Propane before Amerigas took over. No issues at all with Heritage. Now with Amerigas, my gas has run out the last three times before the scheduled delivery. How can they get it so completely wrong? There is NEVER a good time to run out of gas. I got a call center person on the phone who did not understand my problem after three times explaining it. FINALLY they scheduled an "emergency" delivery for the next day.... read more

Several times I've ordered and several times they've been very late. Propane low they've said pay 300 more and we'll have it there immediately...LIES once again I've ordered, they've taken the money then NOT DELIVERED on the date stated. It's been 8 days past delivery date was on hold for 34 minutes then disconnected called back got a recording saying closed. I'm ready to sue!

I have been trying to get America’s/Campbell Propane to pick up their tanks since January. They finally picked up one in June but after repeated calls, I cannot get them to pickup the other one. I’m trying to get my new laundromat open and this tank is in my way. I have left messages for Brad but he never responds. That is why they lost my business several years ago. He was unresponsive. Took two weeks to get propane when I was out then when they finally filled i was given one price and being charged another they keep saying they will get back to me never have and set a late fee now

This company has the worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune to experience. I started calling them in May about some questions concerning my propane & my gas dryer.I could NOT get any answers for my concerns. I decided to change companies and notified them before the end of the month of my intention to end their services. I honored my monthly budget contract until it ended the end of May and let them know I was not renewing my contract. . WISH YOU COULD LEAVE A ZERO!! They tell you one thing on the phone then charge you something else. Beware they have $150 pickup fee on those tanks no matter what it's in your contract. Was told if I paid a $70 lockout fee I would be clear of any other charges. But when the new owners of the property had it picked up I got charged the pickup fee. I told them when I called them the new owners did not want it because they had trouble with amerigas before and was told they would pickup without a charge if the new owners called. ... read more

Worst Customer Service I have ever encountered in my life. They made an error on my bill. Several customer Service agents (I had to call many times on the same issue) understood and agreed that an error was made; but were not authorized to rectify the situation. I was promised a call back from a supervisor who could help on more than one occasion, which never happened. 2 years later the account has been sent to collections and is now showing up on my credit report... all because the woman who handled metered accounts retired... read more

Let me add one more zero star comment. After recently converting to Natural Gas (thanks PECO), I called Amerigas to close my account and have the tanks removed. Two weeks later, having received another bill (!) with a zero balance on the account, I called again, to find out that (a) nothing had been done to close the account. The person I talked to explained that it can take months, up to a year, to close an account, and that they charge a fee of up to $200 to remove their leased equipment. Really?

I am one frustrated Amerigas consumer. I have disputed a charge since March of this year. I have contacted the Customer Care team on-line and have spoken to service reps on at least five different occasions. We were billed for a delivery when our tank had been filled and locked two weeks before. There is NO WAY that a locked tank - which was checked for a leak and NOT leaking - used $513 of propane.
