The mantra at Baleen is "serious food with a whimsical mood", but there is nothing whimsical about the carefully planned interior of this restaurant. Although it is warm and cozy indoors, it is best to dine on the patio, facing the serene waters of the Atlantic. The stone flooring and beige decor make for a wonderful candle-lit dinner, so all you compulsive romantics, reserve your tables in advance - and do order the Herbed Chilean Sea Bass - it is cooked to perfection and not to be missed under any circumstances!

Outstanding all around ... Venue, atmosphere (indoor and outdoor) menu selection and service. On this visit, Rob was exceptional.
Baleen is not what it used to be. Poor staff, poor food, poor atmosphere. Had to listen to loud wedding speeches throughout dinner. Never going back!
Great place to watch the sun set. Be prepared to wait, even with a reservation. Food is fine.
Best food on the beach! Great service and right on the beach.
This is by far my favorite restaurant and the view is an amazing bonus. I bring all my friends and family here when they come down to visit. I used to work at Laplaya's spa it a great place to work. At Baleen the food, the service and the view are nothing less than spectacular.
Absolutely wonderful! The staff was patient and friendly and the food was delicious. No complaints! The manager Chris did an incredible job at accommodating our table.
40 minute wait after my reservation time but half the outside tables where we wanted to sit were empty. Slow service and food arrived cold. They brought another one and credited the entree, but i doubt I will be back.
