Wonderful day yesterday when I had a two hour session with Kathy! No one has been able to explain my diagnosis of vestibular hypo function... many neurologists have tried! I felt a weight lifted now we have a grasp of what is going on with me and my inability to walk well. She has renewed my incentive to improve with targeted for me personally VOR etc PT for my specific entrained disabilities, stemming from vestibular dysfunction.
After sustaining a knee injury, I had ACL surgery and sadly developed a Baker cyst. I was trying to do everything to avoid needing surgery again. I was initially referred to Kathy Grimsby by my sister in NC. She did some researched and thought that I could benefit by getting some therapy. I noticed from the start that Kathy's therapy was different from my previous therapies due to Kathy's knowledge of the body. Her hands-on treatment helps me reduce the knee swelling. Excellent care, knowledgeable and friendly staff! I have multiple injuries that I was unsure would ever be able to heal. I look forward to my visits. Other Physical Therapists take short-cuts, ask the patient to do silly exercises that are painful and often do more harm than good. Kathy educates me on my injuries, works on them, does massage and will even show it to me in an anatomy book if I am interested in knowing. I love her!
