They really go above and beyond to make me feel special. I've never been anywhere that seems to care more about their clients than here. They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance. They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Good Gastroenterologist. – Dr. Balachandar is great! She takes time to educate and seems to care about holistic health. We have seen 5 other gastroenterologists in the past 19 years, and she is better than most we have seen. I appreciated her caring attitude. The other reviewer is too harsh about the staff. The doctor is worth it.
The main problem with this doctor is her admin staff. They are absolutely poorly informed and rude. Firstly they will refuse your insurance, even though the doctor's office advertises that they accept a particular insurance or they will demand a referral where it is not required. By the time, you navigate your way through the hurdles placed by this admin, it is highly doubtful whether you will still want to meet this high-priestess of medicine.
UNFRIENDLY ADMIN STAFF – The biggest hurdle to this doctor is her admin staff. You should be able to get through the poorly knowledgeable and rude staff . Almost invariably they will refuse your insurance , or ask you for a referral even when there is no need for one. I had a bad experience. I really pray for those hapless victims, who unwittingly get into a tangle with the most rude and utterly incompetent admin staff of this doc.
