I had an emergency and couldn't get into my local vet office because they were full. Apparently, nail trims and itchy skin take priority over a life-threatening emergency. You'd think they would hold open emergency slots! I drove 40 minutes to the next larger city. Went to a 24-hour Emergency and Urgent Care clinic. They said I'd have to wait about 6 hours to be seen. We've put down two of our beloved pets here and have been so grateful for the compassionate care they've received. The staff let you know everything that they're doing before they do it and offer you all the time you need to be okay moving forward. They give your pet ample sleeping medication so that they don't feel a thing when they pass on, which hasn't always been the case with other vets we've seen. Had a appointment and wasnt seen til a hour after the appointment. When I was discussing payment seemed the politeness of the vet thinned also closing time added more discomfort. Like if we were a burden for causing overtime. I was able to pay for the initial consultation as well as 2 scripts, food, fluid hydration and a couple of pain injections as well. Just didnt have enough for more that was suggested and I felt bad already for my fur baby but even worse when the payment was made along with receiving the itemized bill. I... read more
