All they care about is money, they will push surgeries that are not needed rather then other solutions so they can make the most amount of money. They don’t care about the animals they care about the money. Please take your pets elsewhere.

Just wanted to say thank you for all the help from nurses and drs. Because you guys helped out and worked with me to get the diagnosis and paperwork and the antibiotics I needed in a rush… You helped me out and because of it I was able to get the information sent into the clinic in time and the I was able to get the surgery I needed to save my dogs life. It really means a lot to me, very greatful and just wanted to say thank you all again for your help.

I had to put my cat down because of them. Two vet techs said he showed early signs of a urinary blockage but that it was okay since I caught it early. He wasn’t in pain, lethargic, or yowling—just straining—but he peed ON HIS OWN in his cage, which they said was a good sign. The doctor barely checked him and immediately recommended a $7,000 surgery, claiming he likely had crystals and other issues, without even doing an X-ray. We would like to thank the staff at VCA Animal Hospital in Bakersfield, Ca. Dr Juan Pablo Alvarado, DVM and the wonderful staff was the best for making us very comfortable and explaining everything that was needed and for calling me and my husband after our Elsa's surgery at 3 o'clock in the morning.
