I went to this hospital yesterday (for the first and last time) 2/22/25, I arrived approximately 12:23pm. My daughter went in to tell them that I could not sit up due to a spinal headache I sustained from having a lumber puncture at kern radiology on san dumas street, 5 days prior; and that I needed a stretcher. They came to my car with a chair I should have left then. I was in pain, so I got in the chair and laid across the arm part. Highly recommend. We had a great experience with the Children's Emergency Department at Memorial Hospital. When our 12 month old developed a high grade fever, we were able to book a spot online and have her evaluated and discharged all within 90 minutes. NP Bethany Elliott conducted a thorough exam, answered our questions, and helped put our fears at ease.
First, tons of parents allowing sick kids to run around screaming touching everyone and everything in the waiting area. Dr. Benjamin Gaskins is the physician my 2 year old daughter received, he checked her ears said she “has too much ear wax” he saw nothing wrong and sent her home. He didn’t look further into anything while she screamed in pain.
