Moldy homes with incorrectly installed HVAC systems. Still have not heard anything from DR Hortons Warranty department regarding the incorrectly installed HVAC system that is causing BLACK MOLD and high humidity in our brand new house. Have reached out to the warranty department several times to which we get a response of “there are no updates on your case”. It has been over a month now. If you want a brand new house with black mold this is the place for you! Have lived here for 2 years and have black mold coming through our HVAC vents and on the ceiling. Put in a claim through DR Horton’s warranty department over a week ago, they sent a member of their staff to come check it and take pictures and we have yet to hear back. The mold is getting worse each day and causing my 2 1/2 year old son to cough and wheeze. We have since condemned that part of the house but it is concerning that it may be in the AC vents... read more
