Specialties We won Best Taco from the readers of the Press-Telegram and we were featured in Sunset Magazine for our incredible carnitas and our hard tacos. We are known also for our 2lb burrito. A large flour tortilla filled with your choice of meat, lettuce, beans, cheese, pico de gallo, rice, served "wet" style with melted cheese guacamole and sour cream on top. great food I found this restaurant by chance and decided to try it. I am so glad I did. The food was quite good and the prices very reasonable. They have a chip and salsa bar that you just help yourself to. Finally....a restaurant that allows me to eat all the chips and salsa I want...without having to wait for the waiter to decide I can have more! I will definitely return.
New Favorite Mexican Spot! Want Don Jose's or El Torito without the price? Baja Sonora in Long Beach a GREAT place for authentic mexican food. Great prices! My favorite are the taquitos... 2 corn tortillas stuffed with shredded beef, comes with plenty of guacamole, rice, refried beans and a regular drink. $6.75! Super friendly customer service, this place cares about their customers!

Long Beach's Best Tacos – I thought I knew what a good crunchy taco tasted like until I got to Baja Sonora. What a treat! The Beef hard taco was my favorite and now they make carnitas hard tacos too. I thought I'd tasted every kind of taco on the menu and then they added a Mahi Mahi fish taco that just plain kicks. Never seen a salsa bar to match this one. The owners stopped by to say hi and we had a great time. Great prices, good food and friendly people. Can't miss.
Very good Mexican food. I enjoy the serve yourself salsa/chip bar. I have never been disappointed in anything I have ordered here. It has all been very enjoyable.
