We stayed at the Bahia Resort Hotel and rented two little house/condo-style units, and they were absolutely wonderful. We loved the patio garden area — it gave us space, privacy, and such a relaxing atmosphere. The resort was very clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained. We really enjoyed the hot tub, the private beach, and how easy it was to walk to the “beach beach” for surfing and ocean activities. We loved the resort. It was well kept, and all the staff was very helpful and kind. The heated pool, and 33 person hot tub were also great. The pool area is protected so you stay warm even if the temperature is a little low. The towels were always plentiful. The pool bar wasn’t open, but I’m sure that was due to the season as we were there in late February. We had to go to the restaurant for to-go food and drinks. The rooms were nice. Greeted in such a friendly way and made to feel at home. Love that. Our room is nice. It has what we need and semi decent view from the balcony. It isn’t amazing but good with a real comfy bed. We had pmenty of towels too which can sometimes be an issue places. The grounds are beautiful and nice to walk about safely. The hot tub is massive! A 30 person hot tub is crazy. Our family stayed at the Bahia Resort Hotel for our family's first trip to San Diego, traveling all the way from WISCONSIN! We had an amazing experience, the resort central to everything Mission Beach. Resort was clean, had immaculate grounds ( The views are amazing), very relaxing, comfortable, and very family friendly! I stayed at the Bahia Resort Hotel 12/22/2025-12/24/2025 and overall had an average experience. The location was fine, but it’s on Mission Bay rather than a scenic ocean beach. It was walkable to the bay, the beach, some restaurants, and shops, which was convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the Dockside restaurant was very good and one of the highlights of our stay.
