3/4/26 The staff in the day was great. The male clinician was exceptional and very courteous and also went to Berkeley. Go Bears. However, the night staff treated me like a criminal when I decided to discharge. Three people came out to escort me, the skinny girl, another woman who pretended to read the paperwork I signed and the fat guy who might be security. BACS Amber house is awesome, the staff here is very polite and helpful. I’m glad I found this place.
🏠 Amber House is a great place of refuge for marginal people with mental challenges of all ages and backgrounds in the Oakland community and surrounding cities. A person can live here by sharing a room with another person. Meals and snacks are offered during the two weeks period. The staff make AH a positively welcoming, safe, stable and none judgemental sanctuary.
