Backyard Ale House is hands down one of my favorite places to dine when I'm in downtown Scranton. Food is good. Excellent beer selections and great prices. I will be back soon for sure.
My boyfriend and I frequent Backyard and are never disappointed!! The staff there is great; everyone is so upbeat and happy! Not only that, you never see anyone just standing around. Everyone is always hard at work, and you can tell they take pride in their job. Beyond that, the beer selection is great. They have awesome specials and the food is unbelievable. Please go for their Tuesday special, wings and beer tasting!! Currently, we're having the Salmon Gyro and the Mexicali burger! Great as usual!

Great atmosphere and an excellent beer list. Unfortunately the food is rather middling. Best bet is to for beer and eat elsewhere.
Stop for a late lunch and the service and food were great. I would recommend if in area.
