A Little of the Old West Great food, fun atmosphere, the Backwoods Inn reminds us of our roots here in Santa Clarita.. a wagon wheel stop where someone could get a BBQ meal on his way through town.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND! I went to this place on the recommendation of a friend who said the food was great. Maybe there was a change in management or something because a chaulk this up as being the second worst meal I have ever had in my life! I had the fish, my husband the prime rib, and my daughter had a $25 steak. All three meals were just terrible. I don't understand how anybody can like the tasteless food here. I love this place!!! The Best Ribeye in town!!! And if you like a good cocktail this is the place to go. I have been going here for about 15 years and they have never let me down...
This steakhouse has been around for over 20 years. The decor never changes, and the food is STILL very tasty. They have the wonderful steaks and the BEST grilled salmon which comes in a very healthy portion.
justok I"ve only been once with my husband on our date night. Great strong drinks. Really appreciated that! I had dirty martini's and my husband Southern comfort and coke. Service wasn't the best and this was during the week when it wasn't that crowded. I went there on recommendation from another couple for their steaks. I wasnt that impressed. A taste of the west as it was meant to be. There are many steakhouses out there, but there aren't very many that stick to their theme from the time you walk in the door, to the time you leave. I took my mothere there for lunch (which is a review all in itself) and from the moment we walked in, we felt like we had stepped into a wild west saloon out of the late 1800's. Great Food I just drove by here on Sunday and said to myself we have not been there for a long time. It has great food and great service. The only problem is the location it is a little of the beaten track, but I think we wil venture on over there it is worth it.
Rancid meat/ Bad Lady Owner We have been coming here over 25 years and no complaints but today we ordered 3 prime rib plates two of them medium rare which were really rare so you could really smell and taste the rancid meat. My wife had a end cut so she couldnt smell it. But after four bites she smelled my daughters piece and stopped eating hers also since it was from the same rack.
