Was staying at the Marriot at the end of October (10/19/15-10/26/15). I was made to feel very welcome by all the staff at Backwaters where I spent a lot of time! Food,drink and company were all excellent. I will be back at the beginning of next October for a 2 week stay at the Marriot. Hope everything goes well for Crystal in January! See you all next October (hopefully) George
Wow, this is truly my happy place. We thoroughly enjoy the food and the fact that happy hour lasts for 5 hours. I can't even tell you how great the food is. But I have posted pictures. The view is fantastic as are the wait staff.
We had lunch at Backwater on Sand Key September 25. We chose the restaurant at random from the tripadvisor site since we had business in the area and live an hour from there. The food was delicious, service great and outdoor seating on the canal has a great view. Although we had some trouble locating it (located in a strip mall next to the Marriot) it was well worth the search. We will be back!
Best seafood in Clearwater. My husband and I make at least one stop there every May while on vacation.
One of my all-time favs. Great selections, great food, real mashed potatoes!!! Service has been great except one time, great deck, great view....what more could you ask for? Oh, reasonable prices to boot.

Never knew this place existed! Amazing food! Lobster bisque, panko grouper, lobster tail, blackened scallops and their signature New York strip. All excellent!!! Make sure you ask for Heather!! Some of the best service we've ever had!!!
