Spent 3 days in Tampa during Hurricane Matthew. Great weather , thus resto never failed us. Had dinner here 3 days in 3 different days . The poki , scallops , fried oysters were amazing !!
Just got home from Clearwater! Absolutely love Backwaters!!!!!! Stop by, you will not be disappointed. Ill be back!!!

This has long been a favorite. I love their fresh peel shrimp, lobster bisque and views of the intercoastal from the patio. A relaxing environment for a meal.
Was just there last night for dinner . The waiter was super nice . Will definitely be back next time we visit ❤️
There were a lot of mosquitoes that night, I think they should have warned you before you sat outside to eat because you are the one on the menu! The food and service were good, and staff friendly and kind, even gave mosquito spray to put on after being bitten alive.
We split filet had some bisque and som drinks really great food and great service we sat at the bar and Helen was our bartender .
There's a reason that so many people rate this eatery with 5 stars. The view is fantastic. The food delicious. The price unbelievably low. Super-friendly servers. I went a little overboard! An 8oz steak lunch with fries and cole slaw just $14.00....so I ordered (and ate) two orders! The steak was cooked to perfection and tasted GREAT! I will definitely be visiting Backwaters on future lunch dates!
