RecommendedLove this place. We rented 2 cabins side by side for a family vacation. loved waking up to wildlife out our window in the morning. We cooked out on the grills and enjoyed s'mores at night around a campfire. We also loved going down and greating the train in the morning as they went by. I would recommend this place anytime for a enjoyable stay.
Is an awesome location. A great place to stay.
Had a blast here, very clean, furnished to include basic dishes and pans. Kids loved it, deer 50 meters from the cabin every morning and a couple nights. Easy off road access, really close to Mt Rushmore and Custers park (recommend very pretty)
Beautiful scenery, deer’s grazing and very welcoming and comfortable cabins. Highly recommended.
Stayed in The Barn with a group of (6). Amazing cabin, great amenities, and very fair pricing! The location provides great views, and the road in connects to major thruways. Will stay again.

My family and I just got home from a 4 night stay at Backroads. Everything exceeded our expectations. The grounds and cabins were well maintained - you couldn't ask for a more beautiful, peaceful location. The cabin was clean, well stocked and adorable. The location was absolutely perfect for us - centrally located to all the attractions/activities we love. Will absolutely be staying again!
We love staying here! Clean quiet family run. Everything you need for cooking/baking. Nice pools beds are comfy and nice clean bedding! We never want to leave!
Just departed from our lovely cabin (the Dan patch cabin) what a beautiful, clean & quiet retreat! Would absolutely recommend this cabin to anybody looking to make this a truly memorable trip. Mt. Rushmore was stunning, especially having our cabin in such close proximity to it truly made this experience all the more wonderful. Thank you for your hospitality Evan & Rosalyn! Would highly recommend!!!
