Just paid $1775. for the replacement of a 30 gallon hot water heater. Same hot water heater at Home Depot costs $539. and the expansion tank is another $50. Had the same size water heater installed 6 yrs. ago for $800!! TJ refused to give me an itemized bill for this work!! Waited 3 weeks for this installation and was never given an estimate so yes, I was expecting to pay more since 6 yrs have gone by, but not more than double the old price!! Would definitely not recommend unless you have an approximate upfront price!
