everything was great service and food lunchtime was packed and we didn't have to wait at all. GREAT FIND excellent I will return and have told everyone I know
We went for my birthday last night, I had the scallops with fried green tomatoes and a corn sucatash, husband had the flat iron steak. The scallops were delicious! Always an enjoyable experience.
One of are new favorite places to eat in Vacaville and by far one of the best restaurants in town. You can tell the the chef takes pride in the dishes. Glad I don't have drive to Napa or Sacramento for excellent food. Don't judge this place by its outside appearance. Would highly recommend making reservations. plates took some time coming out but with a glass of wine and good company and an awesome appetizer the dinner was totally worth the wait and can't wait to go back again.
We had a wonderful evening at the Backdoor Bistro last night for my Mom's 80th birthday. We ordered almost every starter, the beet salad was killer and my Salmon, the duck and steak were done to perfection. Our server (sorry I didn't get her name) was fabulous. We went through three bottles of wine. My one and only criticism is that it was so hot in the restaurant we were all sticking to the chairs. Excellent service excellent local vegetable great menu changes all the time with the season.
My husband and I took our son and daughter in law there for their wedding anniversary. The atmosphere is wonderful very vintage and yet industrial. The food and service were great. The only negative thing I could say as a vegan is that they didn't have a whole lot of choices for me. However they were very accommodating in trying to make a dish that would be pleasing. Everybody else love their food as well. And once again it was word-of-mouth that got us there.
