Loved it, service was good, food was yummy. I wanted to buy a t-shirt but they were out.
Ate there tonight. Excellent gumbo and fried shrimp. Fantastic view of the downtown Dahlonega area. Would definitely eat here again and recommend it to others.
We had a very bad experience here, went for lunch and waited over 40 minutes for food. Then lunch comes before oysters. Daughters grilled cheese was burnt, next one came and 2 toasted pieces of bread with slice of cheese. Will never return here.
We stumble upon the Back Porch Oyster Bar while on a brief visit to Dahlonega, Georgia and would make it our regular go-to spot except its a 10 hour drive from home. Great service and great food. Lee, the owner, was onsite and was wonderfully hospitable. We would recommend to anyone looking for that great out of the way place.
I had the fried oysters and shrimp plate with coleslaw and french fries! Hands down the best shrimp ever! Oysters are delicious!!
We usually love this place, but the last two trips have been underwhelming. The calamari until recently has been amazing, but recently, disappointing. The shrimp and grits again was ok, but not special as it has been in the past. Hopefully, just a temporary slump.
Other than being temporarily out of oysters, it was very good. Staff was friendly, energetic and fun group with which to interact. The chiapino (sp) soul was very tasty. You need to get Grumpy Old Men brewing on the bar list. Local brews from nearby Blue Ridge.
