We had such a nice relaxing evening in a cozy corner romantic table for two. Dinner was delicious and dessert was scrumptious. A little old world , quaint and Jesse our waiter was professional and personable and made dinner fun ! We were looking for a special place for dinner and this it was ❤️♥️
Tonight for Valentines Day my girlfriend and I enjoyed one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in Portland. The menu was superb, from the truly divine oxtail ragout with butternut squash ravioli to the bacon wrapped rabbit with celeriac purée & caramelized carrots. And that’s just what I had. The service was, as lauded, the most excellent I’ve had to date. Every detail was perfectly executed and attended too. 5 out 5, veramente fantastico! Grazie!
Came here on a Saturday evening based on its reputation as one of the best restaurants in Portland. It held up to its reputation! A quaint place, we had barside reservations and reservations are your best bet. Starting off with Truffle Popcorn that was addictive were ordered the Bangs Island Mussels. The Jus was perfect. The atmosphere, food, and service are exceptional. Jesse always puts great care into our experience and it really makes the difference! I recommend the Back Bay Grill to anyone looking for a great night out in Portland!
Several of my friends and I recently dined here. Two of us had the scallops. We got 3 scallops for $38.00, two on the small size of large and 1 medium which we found to be insulting. The bacon overwhelmed the risotto and the green beans were so hard they were inedible, We also had hearts of romaine which was extremely limp and not much of it. I celebrated an anniversary here and the food was absolutely amazing with service that was exceptional. The mussels and the broth were the best we ever had. The main course lobster was simply mouth watering. We were pleasantly surprised with the desert dish decorated with a chocolate 'Happy Anniversary'. Am looking forward to going here again!
Have to say probably best duck I have had. Cooked and seasoned perfect. Chef - owner knows food and how to run a restaurant. Staff well trained and informative. Ate at the bar great bartender to top it off.
Shout out to Angela for exceptional service and everyone in the back for the delicious food.
