My son and I ate at Bacio today and let me say we had a wonderful experience. We sat on the cute patio and it was so peaceful and quiet, you wouldn’t know you were in the middle of DC. The server was friendly and attentive. I liked the alcohol selection, and had wine. We enjoyed mozzarella sticks which we could tell were made in house and not just reheated from frozen like in most other places. The pizza my son got was fresh and delicious. Kind of tasted like school cafeteria pizza. Which is a good thing. It was nostalgic. And it was super super fresh, like hot. The dough you can tell was fresh. Had some cornmeal or something on the bottom. And the cheese was quality. They put extra cheese and though it says they don't charge for it, the price comes out $16 instead of the $15 on the menu (pre-tax) I was ok paying it as they seen transparent about where the money goes. It was truly the best pizza I've ever eaten in my life. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. I highly recommend them.
Ordered take out, but the location is cute and the outdoor seating looks nice. Good pizza overall.
We went for lunch on July 4th, and overall, we had a good time. We were seated at the patio, and it was a hot and humid day, so it was a wrong decision. The sun was down on my face, so I wasn't able to enjoy my food as much as I was sweating a lot. The pizza was good but we have tried better ones. The garlic shrimp was okay, too. Overall, it's still a good place to dine in, but I would recommend sitting inside during hot days.
