On 12/8/14 the dinner was good - BUT - there was a small NAIL! in our vegetable dish. The woman, who was a manager on the upper floor of the restaurant did not even properly apologized! She told me that "their corporate policy is so and so and that she can't do much about it since my daughter did not swallow it and nobody got injured:)))))" What would happen if somebody swallowed the nail??? If this happen another time??????
In NY this past week, had made reservations at Babbo a month in advance. The food...was...amazing. The service?!? Even better. Nothing was off about this classic NY joint and was one of the high points of my vacation. If you can eat here - do. And do the chefs tasting menu, with the wine pairings - totally worth it. I'll back next trip soon, Mario!
Seriously WORST place I have ever been too !!! Not only is the food inedible the service was repulsive. My grandmother actually threw up, after reporting an overall dislike after the entire table had literally one bite of our food each and sending it back it took 40 minutes for the manager to come apologize. The black spaghetti was oily and the bacon was seriously bacon bits out of a can GROSS! The duck was overlooked and rubbery.
