I am very satisfied with Florida Cancer Specialists. The only problem I have is I wish they would have a group meeting. It`s very important to our health to meet with other people in our situation to discuss things and to share and participate. The center should have something. They should offer some kind of support group.
I was very satisfied, and I was extremely pleased with Dr. Barakat. He came in with a smile on his face and a twinkling eye that would make anyone feel better and very comfortable and confident in his abilities. It was grande.
I have been going to Dr. Barakat for 5 years. I had stage 2b breast cancer and was terrified. Dr. Barakat has a very calming and reassuring way about him, that put me at ease instantly. Not to mention his vast and thorough knowledge and very detailed strategy, to beat my cancer. I owe my life to him and my Lord, for keeping me alive and thriving. This man, believe me, is a Godsend, so kind, compassionate and skilled in cancer treatments. I love this sweet man.

I was unhappy with my PCP's initial referral for an Oncologist and took it upon myself to find Dr. Barakat. After discussing and reviewing my previous test results with me, he even made TWO phone calls, while I was in his exam room, to the Radiologist who had performed a biopsy and Pulmonologist, who had also reviewed the results. They discussed my situation and reached a conclusion on the best course of action, which was a Bronchoscopy w/Biopsy. I have survived my cancer for five years. I am hoping it is gone forever. Dr. Barakat will stick by you and encourage you every step of the way. If you have issues, he will see you immediately. I had a painful attack of neuropathy in my hands after my chemo treatments, and I was able to get an appointment within the hour. A very caring doctor.
I have been a patient of Dr. Barakat's for over 4 years and think he's wonderful. He is always professional and attentive. He will listen to any questions I have and makes me feel comfortable with my treatments. I recommend him highly!
