Tarra Baker was referred to me by Dr. Wolf, and I truly feel blessed to have been referred to her. I have seen so many different psychiatric doctors and NPs, and she blows everyone out of the water. She actually listens to you as a patient, treats you like a human, and is unbelievably brilliant when it comes to medication management. Tarra Baker is by far one of the most competent and bright clinicians I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Tarra is who I, as a psych NP of 16 years, turn to when I need consultation on difficult cases. There is not a brighter or more compassionate psych NP I have known.
Tarra is the best provider I have ever worked with. Ignore the reviews that say she lacks empathy because it's the exact opposite, but it's rare to find that with doctors where the focus is medication management. Tarra is able to find the balance between having a brilliant scientific mind, but still have the important empathy piece. She also makes it a therapeutic process, provides scientific research, and doesn't expect her patients to take something they aren't comfortable with. Tarra is an AMAZING person and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She always is quick to respond, shows empathy and compassion. She changed my wife's life in so many ways. She was able to gain trust of her (medicine stubborn) patient, provides science/ scholarly articles to back diagnosis and treats patients as humans, as providers should. She is an example to the medical field on how things should be. She treats all of her patients like they are her only patients.
