The Doctor completely skipped our appointment. They only offer phone call/ video call appointments for feedback after the initial evaluation. Received no call, email, or anything to cancel or reschedule. Doctor was just no show and we were left in the dark. The first appointment in person for the evaluation was supposed to be 2 hours long, we were only seen for 40 mins. I’ve been calling this whole week and leaving voicemails every day. I took my 5 year old daughter in for an evaluation this week. The person who conducted the evaluation was not a Dr. instead the evaluation is recorded and sent to a Dr. I already have a diagnosis from a Costa Rican physician who evaluated her for several hours over several appointments in person. So I know my daughter is autistic. Now I have to wait two weeks to have a doctor call me and let me know what her diagnosis is after watching a video of my daughter for 45 minutes. My son’s physician referred us to axis for autism everyone so far has been really helpful. During my son’s evaluation they did a variety of things with him to see his different characteristics before diagnosing him on the spectrum. When I finally got his diagnosis they were not only helpful and kind towards my son but also made sure how I was feeling through the whole process. They are quick to answer any questions I had and were also kind enough to walk me through which steps I should take next to help my son in everything ... read more
