Avita has the absolute worst billing ever! I have went there a total of 3 times. I’m self pay. 2 bills are paid off and I’m currently paying on my 3rd. They sent me into collections while paying my bill. I have faithfully paid 100.00 every month to be sent into collections. I just received care in June this year with a bill a little over $900.00. After moving to Bucyrus 5 yrs ago. I have found that the Avita health care system does not care about there patients at ALL. They treat you like you are no one and they treat you as if you are lying about the problems you are having. I have been trying for 5 yrs to find a Dr. to treat me for my back issues I have dealt with since 1986. All they want to do is take my co-pays and keep sending me to someone else. recerecently discovered false statements about me in records when i was accidentily given drs notes aboutme it stated that i had been released from the nurology department for abusing staff 2yrs ago. i had received a letter for missed apms which i had to give up driving at the time due to my dissability never had one issue with dr woodruff or staff but when my rumatologist at ohio helth tried to get me an apm he refused when asked why he stated dude she abused my staff. i never new this exchange which is libel ever took pl... read more

i see my post is on here from a few years ago about have beth cook as my nurse that took care of me when i had a needle biopsy done turned out it is stage 4 lung cancer with mets to my spine and was given 1 and a half years to live and im going on 4 years i have tried and tried to get in touch with beth and see her was at the same hospital a few times after that but beth if you see this i have not forgotten the care you gave me and hope i can see and talk to you again some time

Had a recent trip to the ER, we were taken back right away(allergic reaction that did not have relief with Benadryl and quickly worsened). The doctor came in and said it was only sun poisoning.... the nurses did not agree but did not say anything. Being a nurse, it is my job to advocate for my patients and had my husband not received epinephrine, who knows how bad it could have gotten. And... once the epinephrine took effect, the hives that were from head to toe and the bright red blotches on his body started to go away... w... read more

This hospital is part of the Avita Health System, Our family is unfortunate to have a child with a medical handicap and due to the illness has had to make many visits. We also use Avita (for now) for our families general health needs. While our Doctor is great, the billing department and overall patient priority is bad. Avita has their own collection agency that is called upon if you are unable to make payments on outstanding balances.in our case we are constantly deluged with medical bills from them and for that reason some... read more

This health system is growing faster than it can keep up, seriously jeopordizing patient care. DO NOT GO NEAR THIS HEALTH SYSTEM WITHOUT AN ADVOCATE. Mistakes & errors are regularly made & if that isn't bad enough, staff, from appointment clerks, to techs to nursing, are very comfortable patronizing patients while completely ignorning what the patient is trying to communicate. Bring an advocate with you to do battle on your behalf.

real great place to have you health care needs done.Had a needle biopsy done for cancer and had beth cook as my nurse in radiology who stayed with the the whole time i was there and was a big comfort. that was over a year ago and will never forget her and hope i get to see or hear from her again.
