RecommendedI met Dr. Moeller in the ER, after my family DR sent me there for a large cyst on my ovary. She was amazing the ER Dr said I would be having surgery the night, but after Dr. Moeller came and we talked about other situations I have going on and I'd like for her to consult with my other health care specialist before rushing into surgery, to be sure that by doing surgery we wouldn't put me at risk or cause an injury. The most incredible team of midwives! I couldn't have asked for anything more. Virginia Nagel and the nurses gave me the best birthing experience. They completely honored every wish on my all natural birth plan. I can't thank them enough!!
As a birth and postpartum doula, I have found that the midwives at Avista Women's care have truly modeled midwifery care in a hospital setting. They are patient, use evidence based information during labor, and always listen to their patients. They talk things through with the entire team, including doulas, and demonstrate mutual respect with the team. I couldn't recommend them highly enough to families interested in the midwifery model but want/need to birth in a hospital setting.
Such a great practice everyone is truly amazing! Been going here sense I was a teen and have referred all my friends and family.
